Ilia State University offers internationally oriented degree programs with admissions open twice a year.
Applicants are advised to review the requirements of their chosen program, prepare all necessary documents, and submit an online application. Please note that admission requirements may vary depending on the program.

For the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 academic year, the following programs are open for admission:
FACULTY OF BUSINESS, TECHNOLOGY AND EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree Programs
- Computer Engineering (ABET Accredited)
- Computer Science
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND MEDICINE
Master’s Degree Program
Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency at CEFR level B2 to be eligible for English-taught programs.
Applicants must provide one of the following:
- An official international English language certificate (minimum required scores are available here)
- A confirmation letter from a school, college, or university stating that English was the language of instruction
Applicants who cannot provide the above may take an online institutional English test (aligned with CEFR B2) by requesting it through the application form.
Applicants from countries where English is the primary language are exempt from this requirement.
Entrance exams (in English, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, or Chemistry, depending on the program) are conducted online via Zoom.
Applicants invited to take an exam will receive detailed instructions via email. Please ensure that all technical and procedural requirements are followed.

The application fee is 150 USD and is non-refundable. It is payable after receiving preliminary approval of the application.
The fee covers:
- Processing application
- Translation of documents into Georgian
- Notarization and certification
- Processing for recognition and enrollment through the National Agency (www.eqe.ge)
If the applicant completes these procedures independently, the application fee may be waived.

Get to know the application process
Step 1 – Submit Application
Complete the online application form.
Step 2 – Application Review
Receive feedback within 7 business days.
Step 3 – Exam / Interview (if required)
Attend required assessments.
Step 4 – Preliminary Approval
Review terms and pay the application fee.
Step 5 – Document Processing (up to 2 weeks)
Documents are translated, certified, and submitted.
Step 6 – Enrollment & Tuition Payment
Sign the agreement and pay tuition within 5 days.
Step 7 – Invitation Letter
Receive official invitation and supporting documents
Step 8 – Visa Process
Apply for a D3 study visa if required.
Step 9 – Plan Arrival
Attend pre-departure orientation, arrange travel, and inform admissions.

Ilia State University has two admission intakes per year:
Fall Semester: July 30
Spring Semester: December 15
